P.H.S.E
Personal and Social education is provided through cross curricular activities including Religious Education, English, Physical Education and Science, focusing on awareness of body welfare and care, safe living, social and personal relationships.
Year 5 receive First Aid training during the spring term and demonstrate their skills in a London wide competition run by St John’s Ambulance. A rolling programme for First Aid linked to ‘Save a Londoner’s Life is used across the whole school. Year 5 and 6 receive cycle training highlighting their awareness of road safety and self-protection.
Key Stage 1 receive cycle awareness training. Junior Road Safety officers work with the school council supporting an annual programme of safety linked to the school Travel Plan. Sex Education is an integral part of the whole curriculum, with the programme reviewed annually and delivered with the full endorsement and co-operation of parents, staff and governors.
