Charitable Fundraising

Each year we identify two charities which we support through our fundraising efforts.

In 2016-17 we supported The UK Sepsis Trust and CAFOD.  The children and their families rallied to raise substantial funds and lives out our Catholic calling to the service of others.

The amounts raised for each of these causes is as follows:

UK Sepsis Trust - https://sepsistrust.org/ - £1693.85

CAFOD - https://cafod.org.uk/ - £1718.38

Total raised = £3412.23

Thank you for all your support.

In 2017/18 we have selected The NSPCC and Street Invest as our chosen charities.

The NSPCC

https://www.nspcc.org.uk/

The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.

Street Invest

Street Invest is a charity co-founded by long time friend of St Mary's, Fr Patrick Shanahan RIP, who campaigned tirelessly for the rights of every child, often in the face of huge opposition.  Sadly, Fr Patrick died in 2016 and we are supporting the charity as part of his continued legacy.  To learn more see the link: http://www.streetinvest.org/patrick-shanahan

In addition to these charities, the children decided to raise funds and awareness for Diabetes UK, in honour of those affected by the condition in our school community.
